•  Interns are expected to conduct themselves with high integrity and respect for the land, the people, the neighbors, the animals and the physical resources at Sandhill Farm.

•  As a farm, we run on a day schedule.   We expect interns to begin their work day by 9 am and put in about 36 hours per week.

•  Interns take part in cooking for the community and doing regular housekeeping chores.

•  Interns are expected to attend both community meetings (2-4x per month) and garden meetings (1x per week). Community meetings include business agenda and personal sharing.   At garden meetings, we review the upcoming tasks and address any concerns in the flow of work.

•  We expect interns to be able to take on responsibility for specific crops and specific projects with guidance from the garden manager or other Sandhill members or interns.

•  Interns are expected to bring their own tent, bedding and tarp for camping outdoors in both dry and rainy weather.
