This is the only product that is not certified organic--because we
can't get an affidavit from our bees telling us which flowers they've
visited. This year's honey is especially light and comes mostly from
the summer flows of clover and soybeans as well as the abundant wildflowers in our conservation acreage.

This traditional sweetener provides one-quarter of our community's
income, and is the product of a high-energy, month-long harvest
festival where people come from all over the country (including
other communities) to help us bring in the crop. Used both as a
table syrup (try it on pancakes or mixed with butter on biscuits) and in baking or cooking (unbeatable in baked beans, gingerbread, or barbecue sauce!).

There is a world of mustards out there, but only ours is made
with Sandhill sorghum, Sandhill garlic, and our own vinegar (made
from our sorghum). Our style is spicy, with the heat coming from
stone ground mustard seed. Not smoke-out-the-ears hot, but you can
feel the tingle.
