Sorghum is a traditional sweetener used both as a
table syrup (try it on pancakes or mixed with butter on biscuits) and in baking or cooking (unbeatable in baked beans, gingerbread, or barbecue sauce!).
It provides one-quarter of our community's
income, and is the product of a high-energy, month-long harvest
festival where people come from all over the country (including
other communities) to help us bring in the crop.

There is a world of mustards out there, but only ours is made with Sandhill sorghum, Sandhill garlic, and our own vinegar (made from our sorghum). Our style is spicy, with the heat coming from steel ground mustard seed. Our recent batches have been spicier than ever, with a horseradish feel (but no horseradish), so watch out!
